The main purpose of the Prize is to recognize the MBChB student who achieves the best performance in Paediatrics.
Eligibility for the Alan Simpson Memorial Prize:
- Students from all nationalities are eligible for the scholarship.
- The Prize will be awarded annually to the MBChB Part VI student who achieves the best overall performance in the final year Paediatrics assessments and recognises excellence in both academic and clinical performance.
Selection Process:
- Nomination is made to the Scholarships Office
- The Prize will be awarded by the University of Auckland Council on the recommendation of the Head of the Department of Paediatrics
