Eligibility for Bush Bursaries & Country Women's Association Scholarships:
- The candidate must be a citizen of Australia or New Zealand or a permanent resident of Australia.
- The candidate needs to be enrolled in a first- or second-year medical program, any year nursing program, or any year midwifery program at a university in NSW or the ACT.
- At the time of admission, the applicant needs to have fulfilled all prerequisites for university coursework.
Value of the scholarship:
Selected medical, midwifery, and nursing students in NSW/ACT are awarded up to $1,500 each through the Rural Doctors Network (RDN) Bush Bursaries and the Country Women's Association (CWA) Scholarships to help with program-related expenses such as transportation to and from the placement, meals, and other discretionary spending while on placement.
