    The Faculty of Arts offers a limited number of conference grants to graduate coursework students in the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences (GSHSS).

    Eligibility for the Faculty of Arts Graduate Coursework Conference Grants:

    To be considered for this grant, you must:

    • Have received an invitation to attend and/or present at the conference
    • Obtain written confirmation from your course coordinator that the conference is relevant to your degree
    • Report outcomes of the conference (in writing or in person) to your academic school upon return
    • Have completed at least 37.5 points and one semester of study in the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences (Advanced Standing does not contribute)
    • Agree to provide receipts for approved expenses (conference registration, airfares, accommodation)

    Application Process:

    Students need to submit an application form to the university to be eligible for the scholarship.

    Value of the Grant:

    These grants provide a one-off payment of up to $500 for local conferences, up to $1000 for interstate conferences, and up to $2000 for overseas conferences. The amount awarded will correspond to a percentage of the documented conference registration, travel, and accommodation costs.
