FAME Emerging Practitioner Award at Victoria University of Wellington 2024

The Fund for Acting and Musical Endeavours (FAME) charity created this scholarship to help deserving students in the performing arts who have finished at least their first year of college. The chosen applicant will exhibit a high degree of proficiency in one of the following fields of study:

• Music: instrumentalists, singers, composers, sonic artists, conductors, taonga puoro players
• Theatre: actors, directors, playwrights, storytellers, theatrical technicians, scenographers

Eligibility for the FAME Emerging Practitioner Award at Victoria University of Wellington:

• Candidates must be enrolled full-time at Te Herenga Waka, Victoria University of Wellington, and have completed one academic year.
• Applicants must be graduate or undergraduate students with a major in music or theatre.
• Candidates must be citizens or lawful permanent residents of New Zealand.

Selection Criteria:

The candidate who best demonstrates a high level of expertise in their chosen subject and demonstrates their capacity and dedication to have a successful career in that field that will, either directly or indirectly, positively impact New Zealand culture will be chosen.
