Hokkien Foundation — SUTD Scholarship

Through the generosity of the Hokkien Foundation, this Scholarship is established to encourage outstanding and deserving talent to pursue their undergraduate education in technology and design at SUTD.

Eligibility criteria -

The Scholarship is open to Singapore Citizens & Singapore Permanent Residents who

• Are enrolled in any year of study in any undergraduate degree programme at SUTD and have good academic standing
• Demonstrated financial need (monthly household Per Capita Income of less than S$2,250)
• They possess good moral character and community spirit; have a passion for technology and design; and are active in Fifth Row (co-curricular activities) and community involvement.

Application process -

• Application for the scholarships is made at the same time as application for admission to SUTD.
• This scholarship may also be available mid-term. Existing students who are eligible will be invited to apply via MyPortal, and late and incomplete submissions will not be processed.
• Scholarships are awarded on the basis of competition among eligible applicants.
• SUTD reserves the right not to award any scholarship if there are no candidates of sufficient merit.

Benefits -

• For Singapore Citizens, the Scholarship will be used towards the annual subsidised tuition fees (after Tuition Grant) for the normal duration (up to four years) of the respective degree programmes at SUTD, subject to good academic standing and other terms.  
• For Singapore Permanent Residents, the Scholarship will be used towards the annual subsidised tuition fees (after Tuition Grant) based on fees payable by Singapore Citizens, for the normal duration (up to four years) of the respective degree programmes at SUTD, subject to good academic standing and other terms.
