The UNIDROIT Scholarship, Internship, and Research Programme Scholarship will provide one outstanding post-graduate (doctoral) law student, lawyer, academic or government official with the opportunity to undertake research in the UNIDROIT Library and work with the UNIDROIT Secretariat for a period of 6-9 months in 2024 on projects on the 2023-2025 UNIDROIT Work Programme in the fields of Access to Credit, Law and Technology and Sustainable Development.
Description:
- A limited number of exceptionally talented post-graduate law students, attorneys, professors, and government officials are awarded scholarships by UNIDROIT each year so they can conduct research in the UNIDROIT library. Nearly 400 researchers from 65 countries have been hosted by the Research Scholarship Program during the past 25 years.
- Scholarship candidates must apply during the annual application window (usually between July – September each year).
- All scholarships must be undertaken in person at the UNIDROIT Headquarters in Rome, Italy.
- During their research period at UNIDROIT, Scholars may be invited to deliver a short workshop on their topic. Following their research period, scholars are encouraged to consider submitting a paper to the Uniform Law Review for publication.
Value of the Scholarship:
A monthly stipend of €1,500 will be given to the selected applicant for a period of six to nine months.
