If you do then you can click on the "Apply Now" button and you will be taken to the application form. If you find yourself to be not eligible for this scholarship, you can check these Public Health Scholarships for International students in the United States of America (USA). We would suggest you not just look for fully funded scholarships but also take a look at the partially funded ones as well. Fully funded scholarships tend to have very stringent eligibility criteria which are not very easy to meet. On the other hand, partially funded scholarships have easier eligibility criteria which ensures that you receive the amount you need to relieve your financial burden. Hope this helped.

    The U.S. Department of State is offering scholarships for master's and bachelor's programs at the University of Hawaii in the fields directly related to the development needs of Pacific island countries. The priority areas include STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, mathematics), communication/journalism, agriculture, education, environmental studies, business, gender studies, political science, public administration, public health, NGO management, and related fields. The scholarship does not support professional degrees such as law, architecture, and medicine.

    Eligibility Criteria of the Scholarship:

    • The applicants should be nationals of the Cook Islands, Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru, Niue, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu. 
    • The candidates applying for a bachelor's program should have completed their secondary school education by the university deadline for an undergraduate program.
    • Applicants with undergraduate-level courses not equivalent to a U.S. four-year bachelor’s degree can also apply.
    • The candidates applying for a master's program should have completed at least a three-year baccalaureate program.
    • Applicants with a three-year bachelor’s degree may apply for a bridging program of up to one year.
    • Candidates with dual citizenship where one is in the United States are not eligible.

    Application Process:

    All eligible candidates must apply online to be considered for the scholarship. The application should include the following components:

    • A copy of the passport's bio page
    • Three letters of reference
    • Academic transcripts
    • TOEFL or IELTS test scores if available

    Value of the Scholarship:

    • Tuition and fees.
    • Housing in a student residence hall.
    • Monthly allowance for food, clothing, and incidental expenses.
    • Health insurance per Exchange Visitor (J-1 visa) regulations.
    • Initial settling-in allowance.
    • Annual book allowance.
    • Initial and terminal transportation to all official activity sites.
    • A mentoring program with the possible opportunity of arranging a follow-on summer internship.
