China Scholarship Council - University of Melbourne PhD Scholarship at The University of Melbourne 2024-25

Eligibility Criteria:

• The applicant must be a citizen of the People's Republic of China.
• The applicant must have received an offer of admission to a Ph.D program at the University.
• The applicant must have completed at least a four-year undergraduate degree, with the equivalent of a minimum overall average grade of H2A (or 75%) achieved at the University of Melbourne with a significant research component.
• The applicants must meet minimum English language requirements.

Application Process:

• The candidates must first apply to the University of Melbourne for a PhD program.
• They must apply to the CSC for the living allowance scholarship.

Value of the Scholarship:

The University of Melbourne will offer the following benefits:

• Full tuition fees for four years,
• Additional living allowance of about $14,200 annually.

China Scholarship Council (CSC) will offer the following benefits:

• A living stipend of about $22,800 annually encompassing Overseas Student Health Cover,
• Return airfare between China and Melbourne by the most economical route,
• Visa application fees.
