National Essay Competition on India’s Geopolitics 2025

In the contemporary geopolitical scenario, as India’s influence in global discussions grows increasingly prominent, it’s imperative for those interested in international relations to understand the country’s geopolitical history. The Hertie School Berlin, WeMakeScholars, and the Department of International Relations at Jadavpur University have collaborated to create a space where young people can engage in this crucial dialogue through the "National Essay Writing Competition on India’s Geopolitical Strategy".

Eligibility Criteria for the Scholarship:

• Applicants must be Indian citizens.
• Applicants in the following categories will qualify for the scholarship:
  • Working professionals
  • Final year bachelor's or master's students
  • Anyone interested in pursuing a career in International Affairs.
• Applicants are strongly encouraged to incorporate their analytical perspectives and adhere to good academic practice while composing the essay.

Application Process: 

All interested candidates must fulfill the following criteria to be considered for the scholarship:

• Topic: India's Role in Global Governance: BRICS and Beyond
• Format: APA, 1000 Words (excluding references).
• File Format: PDF ONLY.

Value of the Scholarship:

The successful candidates are ranted a scholarship covering 50% of the tuition fees for the Master's in International Affairs program at the Hertie School in Berlin.
