The research will employ SPD techniques in a novel way to create materials with refined grains that might have improved mechanical properties and greater radiation endurance.
Eligibility criteria:
To be eligible applicants must:
- Have Master by Research degree; or
- A Master by Coursework degree with a significant research component graded as high distinction or equivalent; or
- A Bachelor's degree achieving first-class honours; in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Materials, Manufacturing), Science (Physics, Chemistry), or a related field.
