UC Francis Small Scholarship 2023/24

The Francis Small Scholarship, offered by the University of Canterbury, supports research master’s students in Engineering at Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha | University of Canterbury. Established by Francis Small in 2015, the scholarship aims to enable students to pursue master’s degrees in Engineering and experience the opportunities that such study creates for them.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicants must be intending to enroll full-time in a program for an ME degree with a specialization in Chemical and Process Engineering, Civil Engineering (including Natural Resources Engineering), Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Applicants must be Aotearoa New Zealand citizens or holders of Aotearoa New Zealand residence class visas.

Value of the Scholarship:

• The scholarship provides financial assistance valued at NZD 20,000.
• It covers 50% of the tuition fees for the duration of the recipient’s Global Executive MBA program.
• The scholarship is tenable for the duration of the degree (1.5 years) and covers half of the degree's tuition fees or three of the six mandatory units of study.

Application Process:

• No separate application is required. Applicants are considered automatically during the admission process for the EMBA.
• The successful recipient will be determined through admissions interviews.
