The scholarship was established in 2013 and supported through endowed gifts by Mr Bernard Cornish and Mrs Daphne Cornish.
Eligibility for the Bernard and Daphne Cornish Engineering Scholarship:
- Students need to be classified as an Australian citizen.
- Students should have completed at least the first year of your program.
- Students must have achieved a GPA of at least 4 for each semester.
- Students don't already hold a university qualification.
- Students don't hold another scholarship that the Associate Dean deems to be similar.
Students are enrolled full-time in any of the following programs:
- Bachelor of Engineering
- Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)
- Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)/ Master of Engineering or dual engineering program
Selection Criteria:
- Evidence of financial hardship
- Academic achievement
- Potential to complete the program
- Any other matter that the selection committee considers to be relevant to your future success in the engineering profession.
Application Process:
Students must submit an application form to the university to be eligible for the scholarship.

Determined by the Dean and committee for each scholarship.
