Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the SUMSS program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Have a minimum high school GPA of 3.0.
- Demonstrate unmet financial need, as evidenced by eligibility for the Pell Grant.
- Applicants must complete the FAFSA to show need.
- Be a First-Time-in-College (FTIC) student.
- This includes students who have never attended a postsecondary institution.
- Students with college credits earned through programs like Running Start, AP, or IB are still considered FTIC.
- Have declared a major or be a Pre-Science major with the intent to major in one of the following programs:
