Calboonya Legacy Information Technology and Computer Science Scholarship at University of Queensland 2025

This scholarship is supported by a generous gift from a husband and wife, alumni of UQ's Bachelor of Computer Science class of 1979. In recognition of the encouragement they received during their educational journeys, they wish to create a lasting legacy for students who might not otherwise have the opportunity to study computer science and information technology at UQ.

Eligibility Criteria for Calboonya Legacy Information Technology and Computer Science Scholarship at University of Queensland 2025:

You are eligible if you:

• Are a commencing student or a previous recipient of this scholarship
• Can demonstrate financial need
• Do not hold a scholarship that the Associate Dean considers to be similar

Additionally, you must be enrolled or planning to enrol full-time in one of the following programs:

• Bachelor of Computer Science
• Bachelor of Computer Science (Honours)
• Bachelor of Information Technology
• Bachelor of Information Technology (Honours)
• Bachelor of Science (Computer Science Major)
• Bachelor of Science (Honours) (Computer Science Major)
• Any dual program that includes the above programs.

Application Process:

Applicants must complete an online application process, which includes submitting the following documents:

• A cover letter
• A resume
• A copy of your recent Year 12 report or an unofficial academic transcript (downloadable from mySI-net)
• Evidence of financial hardship includes Centrelink statements, ATO statements, family income, etc.

Value of the scholarship:

An amount of AUD 4,500 will be awarded as partial funding.
