Carl Ludwig Outstanding Teaching Assistant

This scholarship recognizes students who embody Dr. Ludwig values of academic achievement and a demonstrated commitment to undergraduate teaching.

Eligibility criteria for Carl Ludwig Outstanding Teaching Assistant -

1. The applicant must be pursuing majors in Biological Sciences.
2. The applicant must have minimum 3.0 GPA or higher in bBology courses, and a minimum overall GPA of 2.75 or higher.
3. The applicant can be a Junior, Senior or a classified Graduate.
4. The financial need of the applicant is not specified.
5. The applicant must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 units (undergraduate) or 6 units (graduate student) during the semester the award is used.

Application process -

1. Submit one letter of support from a faculty member who can comment on your teaching ability and commitment to teaching.
2. Submit all transcripts (copies are acceptable).
3. Submit a one-page statement indicating how your teaching experiences have influenced your teaching philosophy.
4. Sac State Faculty and Staff Letter of Reference Request -
   1. Also ask reference for their time before filling out their names and email addresses on the scholarship application.
   2. The reference must be a faculty or staff member who can attest to your qualities, personality, and experience.
