Universities of the Coimbra Group offer short-term visits (generally 1 to a maximum of 3 months) to the Scholarship Programme for Young Researchers from European Neighbouring Countries. The goal of this scholarship is to enable scholars to undertake research in which they are engaged in their home institution and to help them establish academic and research contacts.
Eligibility for Coimbra Group - Scholarship Programme for Young Researchers from European Neighbouring Countries:
- Open for researchers from Albania, Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Egypt, Republic of Northern Macedonia, Georgia, Israel, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Libya, Moldova, Montenegro, Morocco, the Palestinian Authority, Russia, Serbia, Syria, Tajikistan, Tunisia, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.
- The applicant must have been born on January 1, 1989, or later.
- The candidate must be a citizen of one of the nations mentioned above and a present resident of that nation.
- The candidate must be an active faculty member at a university or other comparable higher education facility in one of the nations mentioned above.
- The candidate must be in a postdoctoral or comparable status, while certain universities may give doctorate students the opportunity.
- The candidate must have a letter or email of acceptance from the supervisor or tutor with whom they will be working on the work program at the host institution. This document is mandatory.
