Eligibility criteria for Entrance Scholarships -
- The €1,000 Entrance Scholarship is automatically awarded to incoming first-year students who apply through the Central Applications Office (CAO) and achieve 575 CAO points or higher in their school-leaving examinations.
- For students presenting the Irish Leaving Certificate, points must be obtained from six subjects in a single sitting; however, the sitting does not need to be in the same year as entry to the University.
- For students presenting GCE A Levels, the award is based on achieving the required points from three or four A-Level subjects.
Application process -
The CAO processes applications for undergraduate courses at Irish Higher Education Institutions, including Maynooth University. All EU, EEA, and UK applicants for first-year undergraduate degree programmes at Maynooth University must apply through the CAO.
