Excellence in Technology Fellowships at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) 2025

Eligibility

• The Excellence in Technology Fellowships are available to exceptional students who are entering the Master of Science in Information Security Policy and Management (MSISPM) program at Heinz College.
• To be considered, candidates must demonstrate strong potential for leadership and excellence in the field of information technology and management.
• Additionally, preference will be given to students who meet one or more of the following criteria:
  • a commitment to promoting women in technology, a background in gender studies or theory, graduates of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) or Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs), first-generation graduate school students, and those for whom English is a second language.

Application Process

• The application for the Excellence in Technology Fellowships is part of the broader admissions process to the MSISPM program at Heinz College.
• Applicants do not need to submit a separate application specifically for the fellowship.
• However, it is important to highlight any relevant experiences, achievements, or background information related to the fellowship’s preference criteria, such as involvement in initiatives for women in technology or a history of academic excellence in related fields, within the application materials.
