Faculty Of Law Writing Scholarship at Laval University 2024

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide financial assistance to students who have demonstrated academic distinction and who are currently working on their essays, dissertations, or theses. Applicants must pledge to focus mostly on writing rather than working a full-time job for pay. The scholarship program's objectives are to support academic progress and promote graduation within the program's allotted time frames.

Eligibility for Faculty Of Law Essay Scholarship at Laval University:

• Applicants can be of any nationality.
• Applicants must be enrolled full-time in Fall 2024.
• Applicants must complete a minimum of 30 credits in the program.
• Applicants must have completed the dissertation project presentation workshop OR
• The prospective examination for doctoral candidates.
• Applicants must be at the point of writing the essay, dissertation, or thesis.

Application Process:

All eligible candidates must apply online to be considered for the scholarship. The application should include the following components:

• A letter about the research project outlining the timeline for the work, and interest behind the research topic.
• A complete list of the funding received in the last academic year.
• The final transcript of the Bachelor's or Master's program (as applicable).
• The most recent resume.

Eligible Programs:

• Master's degree in Law
• Master of Laws - with dissertation
• Doctorate in Law

Value of the Scholarship:

The successful candidates are awarded the scholarship based on the following quotas:

• Essay: CAD 1,000;
• Dissertation: CAD 2,000;
• PhD: CAD 4,000.
