Food Security Council grants scholarships to top candidates from developing countries. The successful candidates can research the selected topics offered in any of the research institutes in a developing country. The scholarship is offered to PhD students.
Eligibility Criteria:
- The applicant must demonstrate outstanding study performance in agricultural, nutritional, natural, social, economic, or political sciences, or related disciplines with specifications on food security-related issues with a minimum MSc grade of 2.5.
- The applicant must be currently enrolled in a doctoral program at the home university.
- The applicant must be a passport holder of a developing country according to the OECD DAC list.
- The applicant must provide proof of agreement on the project proposal with the host institute in the field of their own PhD thesis.
- The applicant must intend to return to his/her home country or country of residence and institute.
- The applicant must demonstrate excellent proficiency in oral and written English.
- The applicant must have excellent interpersonal skills and team spirit.
- The applicant must be available for the entire period of the research stay of 3 months.

- Scanned copy of the English proficiency certificate.

- PhD research proposal.

- Successful applicants should :
- Participate in teaching and training activities, if possible.
- Present their research proposal, state of research, and preliminary results in the hosting research institute.
- Establish an active, long-lasting collaboration with the supported researchers and their home institutes as well as FSC through an interactive alumni network.
