Eligibility Criteria for FSC Short-term Scholarship (South-South) for PhD students:
Applicants must:
- Be a national of a developing country.
- Be PhD students conducting research relevant to the mission of the Food Security Center (FSC).
- Propose a PhD thesis-related research project to be conducted in collaboration with a partner institute, research center, or development organization located in a developing country.
- Be willing to work with research staff at one of FSC’s partner universities or a recognized organization (e.g., CGIAR centers).
- Have or secure research funding from their own institute, supervisor, or other sources (FSC does not provide full research funding).
- Aim to establish interregional South-South collaborations (e.g., Africa–Latin America or Latin America–Asia), which are especially encouraged.
- Commit to academic output, including joint publications and conference presentations.
- Be ready to present their research at the host institute and participate in limited teaching/training activities.
- Engage actively in the FSC alumni network.

- Monthly grant of EUR 500 during their stay.

- Placement at a partner institute in a developing country for collaborative research.
