International Student Scholarships at Hope College 2025

Hope College welcomes international undergraduate students who want to study at “One of the Best Liberal Arts Colleges in the United States.” Hope College has initiated Merit-based International Student Scholarships to assist international students with financial support.

Eligibility Criteria of the Scholarship:

• Applicants must identify as International students.
• Applicants must enroll in any undergraduate course of study at the university.
• Applicants must demonstrate an excellent academic record.
• Applicants must demonstrate the need for financial support.
• International students must demonstrate their English proficiency through one of the following criteria
  • TOEFL: Minimum score of 79 with no sub score less than 18.
  • IELTS: Minimum score of 6.5 with no sub-score less than 6.
  • Duolingo: Minimum score of 105.
  • GTEC: Minimum score of 1200.
  • Pearson PTE Academic: Minimum score of 58 with no band below 53.
  • Attendance for two or more years at a secondary school where the curriculum is taught in English. We still may require the TOEFL or IELTS depending on your record.
• Quality of secondary school classes, grades/marks received in these classes.
• Personal statement.
• Review of student activities and leadership.

Application Process:

The application is automatically considered for the scholarship while applying.

Value of the Scholarship:

The scholarship is valued up to $25,000. The scholarship is renewable for the remaining academic years, as long as the student maintains good academic score.
