Idex Université Grenoble Alpes 2024 Master Scholarship Program

The Idex Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA) Master Scholarship program is designed to support international students applying for Master's or Engineer degrees at UGA. This scholarship aims to encourage talented students from around the world to pursue advanced education in various fields at one of UGA’s academic divisions.

Eligibility

The scholarship is open to international students who meet the following criteria:

• Currently enrolled in a university outside of France.
• Have obtained their most recent degree from a foreign university.
• Have obtained their "Baccalauréat" or its equivalent from a foreign university, even if they later studied in France.

The scholarship is available for students applying to one of the following UGA academic divisions:

• École nationale supérieure d’architecture de Grenoble (ENSAG)
• Faculté des sciences (Faculty of Sciences)
• Faculté humanités, santé, sport, sociétés (Faculty of Humanities, Health, Sport, and Societies)
• Grenoble INP
• Sciences Po Grenoble (IEP, School of Political Studies)
• Institut d'Urbanisme et de Géographie Alpine (Alpine Geography and Urban Planning Institute)
• Faculté de droit de Grenoble (Grenoble Law School)
• Faculté d’économie de Grenoble (Economics Department)
• Scholarship Value and Duration
• €8,000 for one academic year (two semesters) for a regular Master's degree.
• If one of the two semesters is dedicated to an internship, or for the second year of a Master's or third year of an Engineer degree, the scholarship will be reduced to €5,000.
• The scholarship is for one academic year only, and students must apply again for the second year of their Master’s program (2024-2025 or 2025-2026).

Application Process

• Apply for a Master's or Engineer degree: First, students must apply to one of the Master's or Engineer programs offered by UGA for the 2024-2025 academic year. Each program has its own specific application deadlines.
• Apply for the Scholarship: In most cases, applicants can apply for the Idex scholarship at the same time as their Master’s application.
• The scholarship application is available on the academic division’s website dedicated to the Master's degree applications.

Selection:

• Candidates will be selected based on their academic records, and the final scholarship results will be sent shortly after the admission results for the Master’s program.

Scholarship Payment Process

The scholarship will be paid in two installments:

• Mid-October 2024: Half of the scholarship is paid after the student's presence and attendance are confirmed.
• February 2025: The second half is paid after the student’s participation in the first semester exams is confirmed.
