Pincus Violence Prevention Scholarship at Tulane University 2025

Eligibility Criteria for the Pincus Violence Prevention Scholarship:

• Applicants can be of any nationality.
• Applicants must be pursuing Tulane’s Master of Public Health (MPH) program.

Application Process:

• Applicants must apply to The Celia Scott Weatherhead School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine through SOPHAS, the central application hub for many schools and programs of public health.
• Once admitted to SPHTM, students will need to complete a secondary application to the Pincus Violence Prevention Scholarship.

Benefits of the Pincus Violence Prevention Scholarship:

• Selected scholars will receive a $40,000 taxable stipend with $10,000 distributed over the course of the Fall and Spring semesters of two years.
• Scholarship funds may be withheld or revoked should the scholar fail to meet expectations or minimum academic standards.
• Students will receive special guidance in selection of community organization for the Applied Practice Experience.
• Students will receive cross-disciplinary guidance and mentorship from VPI faculty and community partners.
• Students will build a professional network with other Pincus scholars, over 50 VPI faculty, community partners and community leaders.
