JN Tata Endowment Loan Scholarship 2024

The scholarship from the J. N. Tata Endowment, which is based on merit, is given to students pursuing full-time Master's or Doctoral/Postdoctoral studies abroad in various fields. This scholarship is granted following specific criteria and a selection procedure. Recently, the scholarship amounts have varied from Rs.1 lakh to Rs.10 lakh, with the latter being the highest possible amount. Nonetheless, not every applicant is eligible for the highest amount.

Eligibility Criteria:

• The candidate must be an Indian national.
• Applicants are required to be graduates of a recognized Indian University.
• Applicants must not be older than 45 as of 30th June 2024.
• He/She must have an excellent academic record.
• Applicants in their final year of a degree course and those awaiting results can apply.
• Candidates must have an offer of admission from the University before submitting their completed applications.

Application Process:

• Interested candidates must first submit an online application.
• The application should include the following documents:
  • Candidate’s photo (500 * 500 pixels in jpeg format).
  • Aadhar card, Passport (first & last page).
  • Marksheet / Transcript/s for each academic qualification.
  • The Statement of Purpose (SoP). The narrative should not exceed 800 words.
  • Working professionals need to upload 3 additional documents (if any):
    • Work Experience certificate from the previous employer.
    • Appointment letter from the existing employer.
    • The latest filed ITR / 3 months’ pay slips.

Value of the scholarship:

This scholarship offers awards worth INR 1 lac to INR 10 lac based on the scholarship norms.
