L-EARN for Impact Scholarship (School of Social and Behavioral Sciences) at Erasmus University Rotterdam 2025

Erasmus University Rotterdam is offering the L-EARN for Impact Scholarship  open to individuals from developing countries with relevant professional experience and a history of supporting their countries’ development efforts applying to a Master’s degree programme. After the completion of the master programme the awardee commit to return to their home country to use their new skills and contribute to their countries’ social and economic development.

Eligibility Criteria of the L-EARN for Impact Scholarship:

• Applicants must be from one of the developing countries.
• Applicants must enroll in one of the master's programs offered at the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences.
• Applicants must register by September 1 of the academic year for which they are applying for the scholarship.
• Applicants must exhibit excellent academic standing in their bachelor's program (at least grade 8.0 on a Dutch grading scale).
• Applicants must have relevant working experience after earning the bachelor's degree.
• Applicants must demonstrate why this scholarship will help them study at ESSB.
• They should include a budget plan that outlines how much money they expect to spend each month.

• Motivation letter (max.1 A4, PDF format)
  • Respond to the following questions:
    • "Why do you need the Scholarship?"
    • "Why should you be considered an excellent candidate?"
    • "What’s your recent relevant work experience after earning a Bachelor’s degree?"
• Curriculum Vitae (PDF format)
• Budget plan (PDF format)

Value of the Scholarship:

The successful candidates can avail of the following benefits:

• EUR 17,500
• Additional fee waiver.
