Mackenzie King Scholarships:
Eligibility
- The Mackenzie King Scholarships are available to graduates of Canadian universities who are pursuing graduate study.
Two types of scholarships are offered:
- Open Scholarship: For any graduate field of study, in Canada or abroad.
- Travelling Scholarship: Specifically for graduate study in the United States or the United Kingdom, focused on international relations or industrial relations (including relevant areas of law, history, politics, and economics).
- Applicants must be graduates (holders of a degree) of a Canadian university by the time the scholarship tenure begins.
- If you will not have graduated by September 2025, you are not eligible.
Benefits/Value
- Open Scholarship: Provides a value of approximately $12,000 annually (subject to change).
- Travelling Scholarship: Provides $13,500 annually (recently awarded four times a year; number and amount may change).
- These scholarships support graduate study for those pursuing master’s or doctoral degrees, and the number and amount can fluctuate based on the year.
Application Process
- Applications must be submitted to the Faculty of Graduate Studies of the applicant's home university (the Canadian university from which you graduated or where you are currently enrolled).

Personal statement

- Applications for both the Open and Travelling scholarships can be submitted with a single application if the applicant meets the eligibility criteria for both.
