Eligibility for The Army Reserve Minuteman Scholarship 2025:
- Applicants must be US citizens.
- Applicants must currently be in the Army Reserve or eligible to enlist.
- Applicants must be between the ages of 17-28;
- they cannot turn 31 by 31 December of the year of commissioning
- Applicants must be able to complete a valid Chapter 2 MEPS physical for enlistment.
- Applicants must comply with AR 600-9 body composition standards.
- Applicants require: 2.5 GPA, 4-year applicants must have an ACT/SAT.
- Applicants must be able to participate in the Simultaneous Membership Program (SMP).
- Once commissioned, applicants must complete an 8-year service obligation while actively drilling at a Unit.
- Applicants must be able to pass the Army Combat Fitness Test (required to sign a contract and receive scholarship benefits).
Application Process:
- The candidates must meet all scholarship qualifications.
- They must fill out the online application form.
- They must be prepared to be interviewed by an Army Reserve Ambassador or USAR Major
- Subordinate Command Commander for a nomination
Value of the Scholarship:
- Covers full tuition and fees OR room and board ($12,000 per year).
- Monthly $420 Cadet stipend (freshmen-senior year).
- Annual $1,200 book stipend.
- Earn E-5 drill pay upon contracting.
- Guaranteed commission in the Army Reserve with an eight-year service obligation.
