University of Waikato Summer Research Scholarship 2024

Eligibility for the University of Waikato Summer Research Scholarship:

• Scholarships are open to candidates enrolled at an Australian or New Zealand university.
• Applicants who are concurrently enrolled in taught papers and a thesis (593 or 594) may apply, providing they have not yet commenced their master’s thesis. 
• Preference may be given to applicants who have discussed the project with the supervisor before applying.

Selection Criteria:

• The student's academic merit is assessed, and their Grade Point Average will be calculated on the candidate's most recent 240 points of study.
• Applicants are evaluated on their level of expertise in one of the research project areas.

Documents Required:

• Verified copies of the applicant's academic transcripts.
• Two academic references
• A copy of the candidate's curriculum vitae of not more than four pages.
• A one-page summary of the applicant's experience, interest in the research areas, and relevant background.

Value: value of $8,000 and will include enrollment in a paper
