Eligibility for UQ PhD Industry Placement Award:
- The candidate must be a full-time or part-time PhD student at UQ.
- The candidate must be receiving a living stipend from a sponsor outside of UQ or not be receiving any living stipend scholarships.
- The candidate must have completed a Ph.D. Industry Placement that was coordinated by the Graduate School and lasted at least 60 working days.
- During the first 18 months of candidacy, the candidate must have worked with the Graduate School to plan and register their intent to undertake an HDR Placement by submitting and having their project brief approved via myUQ.
Application Process:
As part of the Graduate School Industry Placement Program, the candidate should undertake an HDR placement.
If you meet the criteria of the UQ PhD Industry Placement Award, you will be provided with the award payment upon successful completion of the placement. You will also be considered for a tuition extension and thesis submission date extension up to a maximum of 3.75 years Full Time Equivalent at that time.
