Established in 2020 by Associate Professor Victoria Atkinson under the Create Change Scholarship Match Initiative. Associate Professor Victoria Atkinson was a UQ Class of 1998 MBBS graduate and senior staff specialist in medical oncology at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. Grateful for her opportunities, A/Prof Atkinson wishes to help support bright, deserving medical students in UQ's Faculty of Medicine.
Eligibility Criteria Associate Professor Victoria Atkinson Medical Student Scholarship 2024:
- Students are enrolled full-time in the Doctor of Medicine
- Students should be able to demonstrate financial hardship
- Students do not hold another scholarship the Dean considers similar.
Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated financial need
- Strength of your statement demonstrating how the scholarship will assist your completion of the Doctor of Medicine
- Any other matter the selection committee considers relevant to your future success in your study.
- A female applicant shows the greatest merit.
Application Process:
Students must submit an application form and a personal statement to the university to be eligible for the scholarship.
Value of the scholarship:
The students will receive at least AUD 4,500.
