The Carrick Robertson Prize commemorates the late Sir Carrick Robertson, who was one of Auckland’s leading surgeons.
Eligibility for the Carrick Robertson Prize:
- Applicants must have enrolled in Part VI of the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB).
- Applicants must have achieved the highest aggregate marks in clinical assessments conducted by the Head of the Department of Surgery.
- As a minimum standard, the applicants should have averaged at least 80% in the assessments.
Value of the Prize:
One Carrick Robertson Prize will be awarded annually and will be of the value of $500.
Selection criteria:
The Prize will be awarded by the University of Auckland Council on the recommendation of the Head of the Department of Surgery.
