In cooperation with the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the UK, the University of Nottingham is happy to award six Commonwealth Shared Scholarships. The University of Nottingham and the UK government's Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) jointly finance these scholarships.
Eligibility for Commonwealth Shared Scholarship at the University of Nottingham:
- The applicant must be a British-protected person, a Commonwealth citizen, or a refugee.
- The candidate must reside in one of the Commonwealth nations.
- By September 2024, when the academic year begins, the candidate should be eligible to begin their studies in the UK.
- The applicant must fulfill the requirements to be admitted to the appropriate course.
- By the Commonwealth Application deadline, the candidate should have submitted a full application to the University of Nottingham (note that only those with offers for eligible degree programs will be shortlisted).
- Without this scholarship, the applicant shouldn't be able to afford to study in the UK.

- MA International Security and Terrorism
- MSc Economics
- MSc Environmental Leadership and Management
- MPH Master of Public Health (Global Health)
- MSc Advanced Civil Engineering
- MSc Environmental Process Engineering
Value of the Scholarship:
100% of your tuition fees, plus return airfare to the UK from your country of residence, a maintenance award, and additional allowances.
Application Process:
Applications have to be submitted online using the CSC application system. Applicants must first apply to one of the nominating organizations; direct applications for these scholarships are not accepted by the CSC.
