Eligibility

• The Deliberative Discourse Fellowship is awarded to incoming students at Heinz College who demonstrate a strong commitment to promoting diverse opinions and reducing polarization.
• To be eligible, you must be admitted to a full-time master's program at Heinz College and have a proven track record or interest in working on issues related to fostering open dialogue, encouraging diverse perspectives, and minimizing polarization in organizations or on college campuses.

Benefits and Value

• The fellowship offers a scholarship of $2,000 per semester, which can total $4,000–$6,000 per academic year to help with non-tuition expenses.
• The recipient will work closely with the DICE Office on the Deliberative Discourse Initiative, gaining hands-on experience in creating spaces for diverse conversations and promoting thoughtful discussions.
