The University offers laptops to eligible undergraduate and postgraduate students without access to suitable computers for their studies. Funding for these laptops comes from the University's Discretionary Fund through SAAS and the SFC. To qualify, students must meet residence requirements for SAAS or equivalent, and provide a copy of their award notice.

Then you can apply for a laptop grant if you meet one or more of the following criteria:
- Home postcode in an SIMD Quintile 1 or Quintile 2 area.
- Home postcode in an rUK POLAR4 Quintile 1 area.
- Care Experienced student.
- In receipt of a Strathclyde STAR Scholarship
- Caring Responsibilities.
- Estranged Student.
- Gypsy, Traveller, Roma, Showman or Boater (GTRSB) Student
- Asylum Seeker.
- Need a device to support your learning
In addition, if you are eligible for the above and cannot access a reliable Wi-Fi or broadband connection to support your learning from your home or student accommodation, we can offer a grant of £150 to support you in purchasing data/Wi-Fi.
