Eligibility
To qualify for the Westmoreland Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Minimum GPA:
- A minimum GPA of 3.5 is required.
Enrollment Requirements:
Applicants must be enrolled at least part-time in an eligible program:
- Undergraduate or credential students must be enrolled in at least 6 units.
- Graduate students must be enrolled in at least 4 units.
Teacher Education Credential Student:
- Applicants must be enrolled in a teacher education credential program.
Financial Need:
- Applicants must qualify for financial aid.Alternatively, applicants can meet this requirement by being a first-generation college student or coming from an underrepresented group in teaching.
Letter of Recommendation:
- Applicants must submit one letter of recommendation from someone who is knowledgeable about the candidate’s work with children.
