Eligibility:
- The Heinz College-Congressional Hunger Center (CHC) Food Security Fellowship Scholarship is available to current and past fellows of the CHC's Bill Emerson National Hunger Fellowship and Mickey Leland International Hunger Fellows programs.
- To qualify, applicants must have been part of either of these two prestigious fellowships and must indicate their participation on their application for admission to Heinz College to be considered for the scholarship.
Application Process:
- No separate application is necessary to apply for the Heinz College-CHC Food Security Fellowship Scholarship.
- Applicants simply need to mention their involvement with the Bill Emerson National Hunger Fellowship or Mickey Leland International Hunger Fellows programs within their admission application to Heinz College.
- If applicants fail to list their participation, they will not be eligible for the scholarship.
Benefits/Value:
- Fellows of the Heinz College-CHC Food Security Fellowship Program are guaranteed a minimum scholarship of $12,000 per semester.
- In addition to the scholarship, fellows will have the unique opportunity to work as interns for Leah Lizarondo, Entrepreneur in Residence at the Block Center for Technology and Society, focusing on food security and social innovation.
- Fellows will also earn a work-study award of $5,000 per academic year for their involvement in this project.
