Eligibility for Pacific Excellence Scholarship at the University of Waikato 2024:
- Students should be of Pacific Island descent.
- Students should have achieved at least a Merit endorsement at NCEA Level 2, or equivalent through examinations such as the Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) or the International Baccalaureate (IB) examination.
- Students must be studying at NCEA Level 3 towards University Entrance in the year before tenure.
- Students should be intending to enroll full-time in an undergraduate degree (a full-time academic year comprises 120 points) at the University of Waikato for the first time in the year of tenure.
- Students need to be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.

Value of Pacific Excellence Scholarship at the University of Waikato 2024:
- Successful applicants of the Pacific Excellence Scholarship at the University of Waikato 2024 will receive a value of up to NZD 20,000.
- The amount offered is at the discretion of the Selection Panel and will be based on criteria such as, but not limited to, total available funding, period of enrolment, grades, financial need, number of credits enrolled, and number of applicants.
