University of Pennsylvania Provost's Postdoctoral Fellowships For Academic Diversity, 2023-24

The University of Pennsylvania and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) are offering postdoctoral fellowships to increase the academic diversity of the scholars.

Eligibility for University of Pennsylvania - Postdoctoral Fellowships For Academic Diversity, 2023-24:

• The applicants for the University of Pennsylvania - Postdoctoral Fellowships For Academic Diversity, 2023-24 should be citizens and permanent residents of the US.
• The candidates should be graduate students from the University of Pennsylvania and other institutions.
• The applicants should have completed or will complete Ph.D. requirements before the fellowship start date.
• The candidates who are postdoctoral scholars from other institutions and have done their dissertations not more than three years ago are eligible.
• The applicants (M.D., D.M.D., V.M.D., J.D.,) who have completed their professional training for post-degree, not more than a year are also eligible.
• The candidates applying for the University of Pennsylvania - Postdoctoral Fellowships For Academic Diversity who are residents and fellows at Penn or CHOP are not eligible.

Documents required

• Curriculum vitae with pending and current publications.
• Three reference letters, a letter from the faculty members of Penn or CHOP who have similar research interests, confirming that they are willing to be the mentor of the applicants.
• Personal statement including previous research achievements, future research goals, employment, academic, and other life experiences in three pages or less.

Value of University of Pennsylvania - Postdoctoral Fellowships For Academic Diversity, 2023-24:

• A stipend of $57,000 a year in year 1 with $2,000 increases in years 2 & 3.   Additionally, the fellow will receive annual allowances for travel ($2,000) and research ($4,000), and a one-time relocation expense of up to $5,000. The University and CHOP also provide a medical, vision, dental, and life insurance benefits package.
