Ross Milbourne Elite Athlete Scholarship at UTS 2025

Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicant must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or the holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa.
• Applicants must be enrolled or intend to enroll in a UTS undergraduate course or an eligible Diploma program.
• Must complete as/or demonstrate potential as a:
• World Class Athlete (Olympian, World Championships).
• Elite Athlete who competes at State or National level.
• The applicant must be accepted into the UTS Elite Athlete program.
• The candidates are required to attend an interview in person if applicable.

First consideration is given to applicants who:

• Are capable of representing Australia at the Olympics.
• Will represent the University where required at State, National, and International University events.

Selection Process:

Eligible candidates will be identified by ActivateUTS, by applying the following criteria:

• Athletic achievement, as determined by the UTS Elite Athlete Program.
• The likelihood that the receipt of the Scholarship will significantly increase the candidate’s academic and sporting progress at a higher level of performance than would otherwise be the case.
• Ability to represent UTS in sports.
• Academic achievement.
• Ability to publicly represent UTS/Insearch and ActivateUTS as an Elite Athlete.

Value of the Scholarship:

The successful candidates are awarded a sum of AUD 5,000.
