Sanctuary Scholarship and Friendly Hand Bursary at Royal Holloway University of London 2024

The Sanctuary Scholarship at Royal Holloway, University of London, aims to promote access to Higher Education for students who have fled persecution and sought asylum in the UK.

Eligibility:

• Applicants must be asylum seekers, the child of asylum seekers, or hold discretionary leave to remain.
• Applicants must be ineligible to obtain funding from the Student Loan Company (tuition fee loan or maintenance loan).
• Applicants must have the right to study in the UK.
• Applicants must hold an offer to study an undergraduate course at Royal Holloway.
• Applicants have evidence that they have sought asylum on arrival in the UK and that your asylum application is under consideration by the Home. Office.

Application Process:

• All eligible candidates must apply online to be considered for the scholarship.
• The application should include a scholarship statement of no more than 1,000 words.

Value:

• The scholarship offers a full tuition fee reduction and £12,000 towards living costs for a student who has fled persecution and is seeking asylum in the UK.
