For the academic year starting in autumn 2025, new undergraduate students majoring in physics and astronomy are eligible to apply for these £5,000 stipend scholarships. They are meant to foster more diversity within our academic community and assist highly qualified individuals pursuing degrees in physics and astronomy at Southampton University.
Eligibility criteria:
- Open to all nationals.
- Applicants must have an offer to study in an undergraduate program in Physics and Astronomy.
- Applicants must be self-funded and not be in receipt of any external sponsorship if they are international students.
Application Process:
Applicants must submit their UCAS application by 31 January 2025 and also need to submit an essay of up to 500 words on a physics topic of their choice.
Value of the Scholarship:
The successful candidates are awarded a stipend of up to GBP 5,000.
