STEM Community Outreach Scholarship at East Tennessee State University 2025

By offering advantageous scholarship possibilities, East Tennessee State University (ETSU) is dedicated to giving first-time out-of-state students the chance to attend ETSU in the fields of computing, geosciences, mathematics, and physics. Scholarships for STEM Community Outreach provide cash equal to the out-of-state tuition.

Eligibility for STEM Community Outreach Scholarship:

• Applicants must be new, first-time ETSU out-of-state undergraduate students.
• Applicants must be majoring in Computing, Geosciences, Mathematics, or Physics.
• Applicants (First-time freshmen) should have a high school GPA of at least 3.2 (on a 4.0 scale), a Math ACT score of 25, and an English ACT score of 21.
• Applicants (First-time transfer students) should have a college GPA of at least 3.0.

Requirements:

• Recipients must enroll in a minimum of 15 hours per semester.
• Recipients must live on campus and purchase a meal plan for their freshman year.
• Recipients will participate in STEM community outreach activities as defined for their major.
• A background check is required for outreach activities in K-12 schools.
• Recipients will need to have personal transportation for potential off-campus assignments.

Value of the Scholarship:

The scholarship award is equivalent to approximately USD 20,000 per year.
