The Sonny and Gita Mehta Scholarship for Writers at the University of East Anglia 2025

An exceptional writer from the Middle East, North Africa, or the Indian subcontinent will be able to pursue studies in the university's esteemed Department of Literature, Drama, and Creative Writing at UEA thanks to the Sonny and Gita Mehta Scholarship for Writers.

Eligibility for The Sonny and Gita Mehta Scholarship for Writers at the University of East Anglia:

• The applicant can be a national of the Indian Subcontinent, Middle East, North Africa, Roma
• The applicant should be a self-funded student.
• The applicant should be able to demonstrate financial need.
• The candidate must demonstrate excellent creative writing potential.
• The applicant is not eligible to receive any further scholarships or awards.
• The applicant should be enrolled in any of the following eligible programs only:
• MA Creative Writing Prose Fiction
• MA Creative Writing Poetry
• MA Creative Writing Scriptwriting
