A graduate student working on arboricultural research is eligible to receive the Madeleine Selwyn-Smith Memorial Award each year.
Eligibility for the Madeleine Selwyn Smith Memorial Award at the University of Melbourne:
- The applicant may come from any nationality.
- The applicant must be enrolled in graduate-level coursework or graduate research in the Agriculture, Food, and Ecosystem Sciences (SAFES) program or its successor.
- The applicant must be undertaking arboricultural research.
Selection Criteria:
- The quality of research completed in the discipline of arboriculture, or generally the furtherance of the planting, maintenance or preservation of trees.
- The impact of additional support on the research project
