Eligibility Criteria for Young Carer Bursary:
Applicants must:
- Be aged 25 or under at the start of their course.
- Be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or foundation degree at Oxford Brookes University.
- Begin their course in the 2025/26 academic year.
- Be formally recognized as a carer, in line with the NHS definition of a carer.
- Have a completed Oxford Brookes student carer record form, in collaboration with the Student Welfare Team.
- Be in receipt of statutory funding from the Student Loans Company.
- Not be a GBS student (Global Banking School students are ineligible).
- Provide appropriate proof of their carer role when requested.
Value of Young Carer Bursary:
The prize is £500 per academic year, paid in two installments, typically in November and February.
