The Ellen Castle Undergraduate Scholarship in the Schools of Humanities and Social Sciences offers funding of up to $5,000 per year for a maximum of three years to New Zealand citizens or permanent residents who plan to enroll in a Bachelor of Arts program in either the School of Humanities or the School of Social Sciences and who graduated from a secondary school in decile 1-4 of the country or a school with a high Equity Index number.
Eligibility for Ellen Castle Undergraduate Scholarship in the Schools of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Auckland:
- The candidate must be enrolled in their final year in a secondary school or kura with a high Equity Index number or a decile 1-4 secondary school or kura, and they must be a citizen or permanent resident of New Zealand.
- The applicant should plan to enroll full-time in a Bachelor of Arts program in the following year, with a major or specialization in one of the humanities or social science schools.
- The Scholarship is not open to students participating in conjoint degree programs.
Value of the Scholarship:
NZD 5,000 per annum for 3 years.
