The goal of the research is to create new, extremely durable carbon materials that will enable more effective cutting tools for industry, as well as for mineral extraction and processing. By prolonging the service life of implants, the novel diamond-like carbon materials are anticipated to offer superior barrier qualities that could improve the quality of life for Australians and help the country's medical device industry.
Eligibility criteria:
Applicants must have Honours degree in Physics or Materials Science.
