Kamal Adham Fellowship for Television and Digital Journalism at The American University in Cairo

The fellowship is intended to draw worthy and competent alumni from mass communication and journalism programs, as well as professionals in mid-career roles in digital and television journalism, to AUC for full-time study (nine credits per semester) leading to a one-and-a-half-year master's program in digital and television journalism.

Eligibility criteria:

• Open to all nationalities.
• Applicants must satisfy AUC graduate admissions requirements.
• Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree with a minimum overall grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent.
• For continuing students, to retain the fellowship, the recipient must maintain a GPA of 3.2.
• Preference is given to graduates of Egyptian public universities and professionals in the broadcasting industry.
• Applicants must have proven interest and achievement in television and digital journalism.
• Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

Application Process:

Students need to submit an application form to the university to be eligible for the scholarship.

Value:

• Partial tuition fees for a maximum of eight credits per semester
• Student services and activities fees 
• Medical service and health insurance fees
• May cover prerequisite courses and one semester of intensive English language courses as needed.

Deadline:

• Fellowship cycle 1 is from December 19, 2024, until January 16, 2025.
• Fellowship cycle 2 is from April 8, 2025, until May 8, 2025.
