The doctorate scholarship program of the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation will assist scholars in developing into active leaders who are cognizant of present and future societal concerns and receptive to novel modes of knowledge. The Foundation is seeking applicants who are audacious, innovative, and cutting-edge.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must be admitted to or enrolled in a full-time Ph.D. program in the first or second year, with the conclusion of her doctoral studies scheduled for 2026 or later.
- Applicants must study topics that are crucial to Canada's future.
- Applicants must include one of the foundation's four main themes in the research:
- human rights and dignity;
- civic responsibility;
- Canada and the globe;
- Populations and their natural environment.
- Applicants must be permanent residents of Canada, or foreign nationals enrolled in a Ph.D. program at a Canadian university, or a Canadian citizen studying in a Canadian or international institution.
