NTU Sanctuary Scholarship for September 2025 Entry

• Nottingham Trent University (NTU) is offering two NTU Sanctuary Scholarships for undergraduate students who have sought asylum in the UK and do not have access to Student Finance from the UK government.
• These scholarships are designed to provide financial support to individuals who face barriers to higher education due to their immigration status.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the NTU Sanctuary Scholarship, applicants must meet the following conditions:

• You must have been granted discretionary or limited leave to remain or another form of temporary leave after an asylum application in the UK.
• Alternatively, you can be an asylum seeker or the dependent of an asylum seeker, and you must be able to prove your asylum status and have an active asylum claim with the UK Home Office.
• You must not be eligible for Student Finance from the UK government due to your immigration status.
• You must have a firm unconditional or firm conditional offer to study a full-time undergraduate or foundation degree at NTU, starting in September 2025.
• You should not have already obtained a degree or degree-equivalent qualification.
• You must demonstrate sufficient funds to cover living and accommodation costs during your studies.

Scholarship Benefits

• The NTU Sanctuary Scholarship offers recipients:
• A full tuition fee waiver for the entire duration of your course.
• A £3,000 bursary each academic year to support course and living costs.
• This scholarship aims to provide a lifeline to asylum seekers and individuals with limited immigration status, ensuring they have the financial support necessary to pursue higher education at Nottingham Trent University.
